Special-purpose Vehicle Construction
Tried and tested in the car, bus and commercial vehicle industry over many years, Sika adhesive bonding systems are now increasingly used in the construction of special-purpose vehicles.
Besides many other benefits, elastic-bonded cabs of tractors and construction equipment exhibit a considerably lower noise level, thus providing more comfort and safety for the driver.
The body assemblies of modern fire engines, for example, consist of self-supporting, elastic-bonded aluminium panels. None of these panels performs a purely aesthetic function: each one contributes to the structural strength of the vehicle.
